You Broke My Heart

Ashes to ashes,dust to dust,
Breaking my heart,is it a must,
My love is pure, above all lust,
Endowed with total,complete trust.

My heart is now charred like coal,
Was this,your only noble goal,
Feel my hurt and bleeding soul,
Ask yourself for an opinion poll.

When I need you the most,
To celebrate and to toast,
You deserted me mid way,
Instead, take my life away.

You hold the veto and  final string,
Make your choice for the wedding ring,
Instead of happiness, you bring,
An answer,like a scorpian sting.

Even in this situation adverse,
From where there is no recourse,
I look up to you for the final verse,
Do justice, to the dreams, I nurse.

I am shattered and all alone,
My status,you will also atone,
All is lost and all is gone,
When you say “no” is that sad tone

I may not be born in your sect,
I cannot speak your dialect,
I cannot, your customs, reflect,
But my love for you,you cannot neglect

Go ahead, Marry your lucky Knight,
Your decisions are always right,
Live with him happily without a fight,
At least, give me the pleasure of this sight.

You may not speak to me,
Be far away, so it be,
Closing my eyes inside i see,
Always, it will be you with me.
